Ace director Farhan Akhtar is all set to rock this year. Besides a successful stint last year with Don as director and Honeymoon Travels as producer, Farhan makes his debut this year as an actor and singer. Besides playing the lead in Rock on , Farhan lends his voice to a few tracks in the film. Farhan has also bagged the lead in his sister’s film Luck by chance. Well, Farhan is indeed ready for his next which stars Irrfan Khan and not Shahrukh. Don 2 can surely wait, as Farhan is set to direct Voice from the sky –a film based on the inception of telephone in India. Though it's enormously hush-hush at the moment, here's the news on the biggest singing talent ready to burst on to the music scene in 2008. It's none other than director-turned actor Farhan Akhtar who not only produces and stars in Rock On, he also sings as many as four songs in the film. The film features Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Luke Kenny and Farhan as members of a rock band.

The film revolves around 4 young boys who put together the greatest band this country has ever seen but never make it. Ten years hence fate conspires to bring them together again and set them on a journey back to where they left off. A soul-searching pilgrimage into their past, is what ‘Rock On’ is all about.
